Acoustic Night

UEACU events week is almost upon us. Its gonna be huge. There's going to be films, free lunches, photos taken all over campus, and 8.30am prayers; we're pretty excited about it.

To get us all in the mood, tonight the CU held one of its widely famed Acoustic Nights in the Hive, the heart and soul of the UEA campus. It has been such a great evening. Amazing to spend time with such wonderful people, brilliant to get a chance to see some of the very talented people perform some good music, and even better to hear some testimonies about how God has changed peoples lives.

Harry Frost, Katy Warham and Chris Gaisie bravely stood in front of the crowds and gave us a glimpse of their journeys to discovering a relationship with God. For me, there's little more inspiring than hearing friends be vulnerable and honest about that journey in front of a group of people. It was amazing to hear them speak with strength and confidence, and we're all praying that those words didn't fall on deaf ears.

A definite highlight was the performance of the Lifehouse Skit. Katy Walton worked incredibly hard to make it happen, so bring kudos to her. But God definitely gets this moment; I think anyone who's ever seen that skit would struggle to deny the power in it, and it was amazing to see God work through it once again. About 20 passers by stopped to watch and were clearly intrigued by it. God broke into people's hearts in that moment, and our only response to that can be to praise Him! (Watch this space for a video of the Skit!)

If you're a UEA student reading this, check out the rest of the blog to see what's happening next week, and make sure you're there. If you're not, then I'm sorry that you'll be missing out. But please support us with prayer and encouragement and get in touch and let us know what you think!

God Bless.
